The North Pacific is home to one of the worst man-made disasters in history - a continent-sized collection of plastic waste, brought together by ocean currents. So to help Surfers Against Sewage bring attention to this alarming issue, we rebranded the area as Wasteland: the world's newest and most dangerous country.
*The second phase of the campaign involved petitioning the UN to recognise Wasteland as an official country. By complete coincidence a similar and very well done campaign (The Trash Isles) beat us to it. We try to cry about it as little as possible.
